Diosa de la montaña / Mountain goddess

 

Los triquis tenemos una diosa que se llama I’an kï’ij, que quiere decir: diosa de la montaña. Se cree que la mencionada diosa anda vagando en las montañas, principalmente en lugares feos y en donde hay muchos ocotales, ya que le gusta divertirse subiendo y bajando los árboles; se cree que es dueña de todos los animales silvestres, por lo que es necesario pedirle autorización para salir de cacería.

I’an kï’ij tiene aparencia humana, pero su pueblo se está exterminando y por tal motivo trata de conquistar a los hombres engañándolos con el sexo. La maña que utiliza es tomar la aprariencia de la esposa de alguno de los campesinos que salen a trabajar en la montaña, y ella les lleva comida. En otras ocasiones se disfraza de una novia muy bonita para excitar a los hombres y hacer el amor con ellos en el monte, con el objeto de embarazarse y reproducirse.

Los que se descuidan y hacen contacto sexual con ella se mueren a los pocos días. Por esta preocupación los campesinos tienen que andar preparados y atentos. Cuando llega la esposa a dejar la comida, se tiene que observar muy bien para notar la diferencia. La diosa de la montaña solamente tiene dos diferencias muy notorias para detectar: una es de que no tiene rodillas sino que tiene las piernas rectas; la otra es que no usa trenza sino que siempre anda con el cabello suelto.

Para protegernos del engaño de esta diosa, andamos con sal, chile, tabaco y ajo.

De noche o cuando hay mucha neblina, la diosa se acerca muy despacito detrás de las casas para escuchar las pláticas. Lleva la intención de aprender el triqui; también aprovecha para escuchar a dónde va el marido al día siguiente para seguirlo y engañarlo.

Cuando algunas familias son muy descuidadas y dejan a sus hijos solos en la casa y se van al trabajo, esta diosa llega y empieza a jugar con los niñitos para ganar su confianza; en ocasiones se aprovecha para llevar a los niños a su casa, que es una cueva muy bonita; les da de comer, juaga con ellos y luego los regresa a la casa de sus padres.

Una señora me platicó que andaba cuidando sus chivos en la montaña y de repente le agarró sueño. Cuando despertó vio una mujer le estaba sonriendo. La señora quiso salir de ese lugar pero ya estaba dentro de una cueva y ahí estuvo un mes con la Diosa de la montaña. Platica que estuvo enseñando la lengua triqui a la diosa.

La Diosa de la montaña tiene una canción especial que le compusieron los artistas triquis; la cantan para llamarla y para venerarla.
